These are some stuff I found on "Final Fantasy Freaks." The webmistress, Lark, is not as big a fanbrat as many but she's still a typical fangirl. She dislikes most female characters (and some charcters who look female) and loves bishounen, yaoi, etc. There are alot of things she's said that I disagree with....

I sometimes peak around the certain communities and I have noticed this disturbing trend where two rivals in a love triangle are written as bitter enemies when in the cannon they are not. This can turn into full on bashing.

This has been bugging me due to a recent jaunt into the Escaflowne fandom...

I remember somebody saying that problem with anti-bashing communities is that people there tend to over-idealize the characters they like in order to defend them against the bashers. I don't remember seeing anything like that here, but I've noticed that some people mistake criticizing a character with bashing, and I can't say that I'm exactly ( Read more... )

I'm a huge FFVII, Tifa Lockheart fan. Always have been. She's sensitive, strong, and kind, and you know what? I still respect Aerith's character. I don't hate other characters because I'm a fan of another, it's stupid.

Hey! I'd just like to say that this is a completely rad idea for a community, and reading all the posts has really tickled me. I've seen so many "talk about which character you dislike!" comms, but being productive and talking about a character you like? Sadly, a new lovely thing.
